JEA MILLS SHS Sees Road Reshaping and Resurfacing

JEA MILLS SHS Road
The John Evans Atta-Mills Senior High School in Ekumfi Otuam of Ghana’s Central Region, has recently seen its access road receive a much-needed facelift, thanks to Hon. Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ekumfi Constituency.

Since the school’s establishment in 2015/2016, the road leading to JEA Mills has been in a poor state, marked by potholes and sections eroded by rain. Although the road remains untarred, it serves as the only route to the school. Its deplorable condition has often deterred students from attending classes especially during the rainy season, while the dust during the dry season has made breathing difficult.

Dr. Kwainoe’s intervention to resurface and reshape the road forms part of his broader commitment to addressing the challenges faced by students and teachers. His efforts are aimed at improving accessibility and hopes to ultimately fix and tar the road, along with others across the Ekumfi Constituency.

Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe
He believes that, the road leading to a school built and named in honour of the late Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills, Ghana’s President from 2009-2012, should be in better condition and vowed to do everything within is power to maintain and enhance its standards.

Dr. Kwainoe is contesting the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections, seeking to win the Ekumfi Parliamentary seat.
