Notably, it holds a pivotal place in Ghana's history as the former office location of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president, and the birthplace of the United Gold Coast Convention, the nation's inaugural political party. Its offshore oil field and Lithium reserves further underscore its resource potential.
Dadzie identifies two key factors thwarting Saltpond's progress: Poor Leadership and Governmental Neglect.
