A group of passionate pupils have visited their Member of Parliament at the Parliament House in Accra. The Otuam International School (OTIS), as part of their study of parliamentary democracy and to gain practical insight into how Ghana’s legislative arm operates, paid a visit to their MP, Hon. Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe.

The private basic school is located in Ekumfi Otuam, the hometown of Ghana’s late former President, Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills. It was a moment of great excitement for the young learners and their teachers as they interacted with the MP. Though not their first visit to Parliament, their enthusiasm and eagerness to meet Dr. Kwainoe were evident.

Hon. Dr. Kwainoe encouraged them to take their studies seriously so that they might grow into responsible and impactful citizens. “I’m confident this experience will inspire them to aim higher and contribute meaningfully to our beloved nation,” he said.

He further urged them to keep in touch with his office for any educational assistance they may require and expressed his appreciation to the teachers for choosing such an experiential approach to learning.
