Residents Happy Over Road Resurfacing

Ariel View of Adansikwaanan-Immuna Road
Residents of Ekumfi have expressed their enthusiasm and delight with the roadworks initiated by Hon. Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ekumfi Constituency.

Many residents from beneficiary communities have commended Dr. Kwainoe for his efforts, noting that, the resurfacing of the roads has made commuting easier and more accessible. Drivers who regularly ply the roads have recounted increased comfort compared to previous conditions.

The deplorable state of road network in Ekumfi has been an ancient issue, despite efforts by successive Members of Parliament (MPs) and governments to address the problem. The situation had become so dire that, in 2019, residents of Immuna in protest boycotted the District Assembly Elections.

Dr. Kwainoe’s timely intervention to resurface the roads has been greeted with positive reactions, although residents still call for more durable solutions such as bitumen roads that will stand the test of time.

This effort is part of Dr. Kwainoe’s broader vision for equitable development in the constituency. He has therefore pledged to do even more if elected to Parliament, where he aims to ensure a fair share of national resources for Ekumfi.

He continues to deploy machinery to other areas in need of improvement

In addition to road resurfacing, Dr. Ekow Kwainoe has also cleared and leveled portions of the Otabanadze community football field to allow for expansion and addressed long-standing drainage issues in Attakwaa and Ekrawfo which caused problems whenever it rained. “He is a man of his word,” residents remarked. They are therefore calling on everyone to support Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe in his efforts to build a better Ekumfi.
